Autumn in Art
Both cheerful and lyrical season evoked the joy of harvest and before-winter-melancholy on artists of all times. Autumn starts with gaining and finishes with loosing. Paintings about this season are filled with prosperity of harvest and unavoidable withering, temporary death in front winter’s face. Such duality found its place on canvases dedicated to this season.
Summer in Art
Summer itself represents grand burst of energy. It represents in paintings dedicated to this season in plenty of light and bright colors, in clear sky and fresh wind, in all the glory of nature. Sun, warmth and joy are main themes in most of summer paintings. Surprisingly most significant of summer painting were made at the end of XIX century.
Seasons in Latvia
It is relativity the same type of climate in Latvia. Despite the weather is stable for whole the territory much difference may be noticed between the northwest and south areas. The closer it is to Baltic Sea the warmest it is. Atlantic makes huge influence on the country’s weather. Winds mostly come from there bringing with it a lot of amount of precipitation - about 600-800 mm per year.
Seasons in Estonia
Roughly climate of Estonia is divided into two half. Eastern is characterized by pronounced continental type of weather conditions and western lies under influence of Baltic Sea. Hence continental part of country is slightly colder. Warmest month of a year is July and coldest one is February. Dull and cloudy weather prevails.

The Republic of Karelia is located in North-West Russia.
Most of the territory of Karelia is a hilly plain with strongly pronounced traces of glacier activity. Rock firmament on the earth's surface still retains traces of ancient mountains. About half of the Republic is covered with forest (main species are pine and spruce), a quarter of the territory is water surface. In Karelia more than 60 thousand lakes and 27 thousand rivers.
Seasons in Switzerland
In general climate of Switzerland may be considered as temperate. Yet weather conditions of different parts of country vary due to variety of relief. Relatively flat north-western and central regions are under influence of Atlantics. East have alpine climate and habitats of southern parts are enjoying mild subtropical weather.
Seasons in Wales
Wales is located on the peninsula in western part of Great Britain Island and lies in the zone of moderate climate but Atlantic winds bring some features of maritime climate. Overall weather is similar to the rest of the island, unless a bit colder. Usually there are no steep shifts of temperature through seasons. Significant difference is observed only between daytime and night.
