Autumn is the time of ripening. All hopes of spring and all actions of summer are finished with autumn. Nature in its adult state inspires for solitude and thinking. Carpet of orange, yellow and brown leafs is the best field for long walks.
Summer is the time of actions and impressions. While nature is busy by growing plants and different kinds of offspring people are eager for new experiences. Bright days are filled with warmth as well as short nights.
Spring starts when nature throws away the shackles of winter. Tree saps resume their movement and small animal leave their burrows. But spring is not only in outer world. In the air there is a new disturbing component which makes us want.
Winter equals expectation. It’s the time when all harvests are gathered, all acts committed, and all conclusions are made. Long winter evenings are good for reading, listening to cozy music.
Fall is considered as the saddest season if year. But it brings not only rains and fading of nature. It also brings harvest in the broadest sense. At this time people are reaping the benefits of their actions and make conclusions about them.
Summer sun generously shreds its light energy and light. So summer is the best time to collect this energy and fulfill all plans and ideas which were inspired by blooming spring.
Spring is the most pleasant season of year. It begins with gentle blossoms of primroses and end with powerful burst of scents and life of energy. Foreruns of this burst can be sensed even in winter.
Snow cover and long evenings, hibernation of nature are inspired artists to work with cold colors. Watching winter paintings is surprise with how many shades can have white and blue. Quiet and lit forests, people in numerous layers of clothes, deep blue evenings are provide understanding of winter beauty.
Both cheerful and lyrical season evoked the joy of harvest and before-winter-melancholy on artists of all times. Autumn starts with gaining and finishes with loosing. Paintings about this season are filled with prosperity of harvest and unavoidable withering, temporary death in front winter’s face. Such duality found its place on canvases dedicated to this season.
Summer itself represents grand burst of energy. It represents in paintings dedicated to this season in plenty of light and bright colors, in clear sky and fresh wind, in all the glory of nature. Sun, warmth and joy are main themes in most of summer paintings. Surprisingly most significant of summer painting were made at the end of XIX century.
Since ancient times artists were admired by beauty, freshness and power of tender spring. It was visualized as young women or expressed by bare nature and season social activities. Many mythological motives are referring to this season.
It is relativity the same type of climate in Latvia. Despite the weather is stable for whole the territory much difference may be noticed between the northwest and south areas. The closer it is to Baltic Sea the warmest it is. Atlantic makes huge influence on the country’s weather. Winds mostly come from there bringing with it a lot of amount of precipitation - about 600-800 mm per year.
You can observe all beautiful seasons in Lithuania with snowy winters, blooming springs, bright summers and golden autumns. There is a humid continental climate in Lithuania. The Baltic Sea with its moderating maritime influences the climate.
Roughly climate of Estonia is divided into two half. Eastern is characterized by pronounced continental type of weather conditions and western lies under influence of Baltic Sea. Hence continental part of country is slightly colder. Warmest month of a year is July and coldest one is February. Dull and cloudy weather prevails.
The Republic of Karelia is located in North-West Russia.
Most of the territory of Karelia is a hilly plain with strongly pronounced traces of glacier activity. Rock firmament on the earth's surface still retains traces of ancient mountains. About half of the Republic is covered with forest (main species are pine and spruce), a quarter of the territory is water surface. In Karelia more than 60 thousand lakes and 27 thousand rivers.
Monaco is a small country with a typical Mediterranean climate. Alpine mountains also have a huge influence on weather of the country. Due to this mountains cold north winds are not able to pass in here. It is almost the same warm and soft weather in Monaco in different areas during all the year.
In general climate of Switzerland may be considered as temperate. Yet weather conditions of different parts of country vary due to variety of relief. Relatively flat north-western and central regions are under influence of Atlantics. East have alpine climate and habitats of southern parts are enjoying mild subtropical weather.
Albania has a Mediterranean subtropical climate. On the coastal part of the country, the climate is very typical for the most of the Mediterranean countries: a long hot and dry summer and a mild, fairly humid winter.
Territory of Northern Ireland lies in the zone of moderate climate adjusted to features of the island. Precipitation levels are almost even at all seasons yet territorial distribution isn’t so even. There are more showers in western regions than on the east of the country.
Wales is located on the peninsula in western part of Great Britain Island and lies in the zone of moderate climate but Atlantic winds bring some features of maritime climate. Overall weather is similar to the rest of the island, unless a bit colder. Usually there are no steep shifts of temperature through seasons. Significant difference is observed only between daytime and night.
