Spain is the country in south-western Europe. It occupies majority of the Iberian Peninsula, range of island in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean (close to western shores of Africa) and small enclave on northern coast of Africa. The city has pronounced seasons with high humidity and wide range of annual temperatures typical for plains of northern Italy. In fact Milan is the second most humid locality in Europe.
Florence is large city in northern part of the Italian Peninsula. It is situated on the Arno River. There are three more minor rivers and several streams than flow across Florence. Weather in the city is drier and warmer than in localities of inland plains of Italy.
Turin is important city in northern Italy. It is situated on foothills of the Western Alps at confluence of Po and Dora Riparia. Climate of Turin is in general Mediterranean. Unlike southern localities of the country there are actual frosts and snowfalls in Turin. In addition, the Alps create barrier of some sort. They hold humid air causing frequent rains.
Legendary city of Venice is situated on north-eastern coast of inland part of Italy. It is washed by the Adriatic Sea. Venice consists of 118 islands in Venetian and several inland districts. Climate of the city is influenced by water surrounding it. Air is humid year round. In summer high humidity combines with heat creating stuffiness.
Positano is the commune and the village in southern part of Italian Peninsula. Cozy small houses sit on a slope of rocky hill funning down to golden beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is called “a piece of heaven on Earth” for weather and looks of the land. After mentioning in John Steinbeck’s article in 1953 Positano became well recognized resort.
Sicily is the biggest island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated close to the southern tip of the Italian Peninsula. It has area of 25 460 km2 (10 216 sq. mi.) and population of over than 5 million. With several neighboring islands it from autonomous region of same name.
Variety of weather conditions of the country results from stretched territory from north to south. Therefore there are region with climate suitable for each activity. Apennine Peninsula with the Sardinia Island have pronounced Mediterranean climate with mild winter and hot dry summers. Sicily Island that is the southernmost located part of the country is warmer.

Inner coast of the island is sheer precipice with elevation of up 300 m while outer coasts are smooth beaches. Thera has rock terrain with altitude u to 500 m above sea level.
Greece is stipe of land in south-eastern Europe with range of peninsulas and island. Relief of the country consists of mountains, densely populated valley, numerous islands, straits, bays and coves between Aegean and Ionian Seas. There are zones of different climate within the country: Mediterranean, alpine and temperate.
