United Kingdom is situated on the range of islands in the Atlantic Ocean. Most of its territory is plain except the Pennines and the Cambrian Mountains with the highest point of the country on Scafell Pike (978 m or 3209 ft.). Coasts of the country are washed by 4 seas and the Atlantic Ocean. Only land border divide British Ireland from Northern Ireland.

Temperature rarely drops below freezing even at coldest months. Precipitation is moderate too. In addition microclimate of the city is influenced by accommodation density and pollution.
Lyon is one of the largest cities of France. It is located in south-eastern part of the country between the Alps and the Massif Central mountains. However city itself lies on lowlands. Lyon has continental climate with certain features formed under influence of the Mediterranean Sea.
Marseille is situated on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea with respective weather conditions. Winters are mild and sunny in general though sometimes this time of a year may be cool or even cold with temperature range of several degrees below freezing. Snow is exceptionally rare. Spring has rather stable weather with gradual warming.
Climate in Nice is typical for Mediterranean region unless it is drier here than in other localities. In general it is warm due to protection of surrounding hills and mountains. Even cool mistral winds from north are only improving weather bringing bright sunny days and good conditions for sailing and surfing.
Saint-Tropez is another jewel of French Riviera which is located halfway between Marseille and Nice. Climate there is typical for northern coasts of the Mediterranean Sea with couple of features, for instance moderating influence of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Climate of France varies greatly due to variety of reliefs and different bodies of water. Western regions have pronounced oceanic weather conditions, central and eastern portions of the country are situated within zone of continental climate and southern land lie under Mediterranean weather. Alps and Pyrenees have altitude-related division of weather conditions.

The city also has significant altitude variety. Difference of altitude between the lowest and the highest points is almost 400 m (1312 ft.).
In general climate in Salzburg is continental. However closeness of the Alps influences weather conditions of the city. Summers are usually warm and comfortable except bit rainy. Temperature averages of winter and features of precipitation form snow cover. Due to location there is quite significant amount of precipitation especially in summer.
Climate of Austria is greatly influenced by the Alps. Plain part of the country has moderate climate but in foothills it has certain features. Summers are warm and sometimes even hot and rainy. Winters are cold and snowy. In addition weather varies with altitude. Locations with higher altitude have colder and more humid weather.

Average elevation is 900 m (2952 ft.) above sea level. Highest point – Grossglockner Mountain with 3798 m (12460 ft.) and the lowest one is Lake Neusiedl elevated on 115 m (377 ft.) a. s. l. There are around 580 lakes in Austria.

Munich is situated in the zone of transition from humid continental to oceanic climate. Such location leads to relatively mild winters with little snow and cool cloudy and rainy summers. Mean average of winter is -1 °C (30 °F) while at summer temperature averages around 18 °C (64 °F). Excessive heat occurs rarely.
Hamburg is the second biggest city of Germany. It is major port that situated on both banks of river Elbe in 110 km (68 mi.) from the place where the river meets the North Sea. There are numerous bridges above the river and tunnels underneath it.
Germany has variety of relief. There are three major regions: northernmost land on coasts of the North and the Baltic Seas, central part on North German Plain and southern half of the territory with Alps. Each area has respective features of climate. Southern mountainous portion is usually colder and rainier than lain part and by the seas there is higher humidity.
Northern part of Germany is plain. It is washed by the North Sea from west and by the Baltic Sea from East. Central portion lies on foothills of Alps and southern part is mountainous region. Weather conditions of regions vary due to such variety of reliefs.
