Qatar is the country in Near East. It is situated on the peninsula in the Persian Gulf. The country is one of the largest exporters of oil and natural gas. Qatar is massive desert with lowlands in north; central part is rocky desert with some saline souls and southern regions are covered by tall dunes.
The country has dry tropical climate. There is almost no sources of fresh water, no permanent rivers and rain is rare. There are only wadis that are basically river valleys with intermittent flow of water during the rainy season. Majority of fresh water is desalinated sea water. There aren’t many resorts in the country and all of them are scattered along coastline.

Al Khor

Al Khor is the city on northern coast of the country. It is situated in 50 km (31 mi.) from Doha, the capital of Qatar. Aside from being important center of oil and fishing industry it is the great resort. There are several wonderful beaches in the neighborhood of the city and a palace rebuilt as the hotel (Al-Sultan beach hotel & resort). On top of it there is dense concentration of old and modern mosques.
Climate in Al Khor by Seasons
As the most of Qatar Al Khor has dry climate with only around 58 mm of annual precipitation. Majority of it falls in November through January and the rest of a year is completely dry. Springtime average high temperature grows from 27 °C (80 °F) to 39 °C (102 °F). Average lows are progressing from 16 °C (61 °F) to 25 °C (77 °F). Summers are exceptionally hot with averages of 27-41 °C (80-106 °F) at night and afternoon respectively.
Autumn is pretty hot with averages gradually decreasing from 39 °C (102 °F) in September to 29 °C (84 °F) in November. Drop of nighttime averages follows from 26 °C (79 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F) through respective period of time. Winter provides comfortable temperature of 20-23 °C (68-73 °F) during the day and 12-14 °C (53-57 °F) at night.

Doha

Doha is the capital and the business center of Qatar. It is situated in central part of eastern coast of the country. Beaches of the city are comfortable and beautiful due to efforts of landscape designers and architects of Doha. There is 8 km (5 mi.) long esplanade along the coast of the Persian Gulf. The National Museum offers various unique expositions and huge aquarium with two levels.

The city has exceptionally hot and dry climate with some 75 mm (3”) of annual precipitation and frequent heat of 45 °C (113 °F) in the middle of summer. Scarce rainfall occurs only between October and March and the rest of a year is completely dry. Through spring average high temperature grows from 27 °C (80 °F) to 39 °C (102 °F). Also there is significant range of average highs and lows typical for arid climate. Nighttime averages are growing from 17 °C (62 °F) to 26 °C (79 °F) during spring. Summer is the hottest season with around 42 °C (107 °) at afternoon and 30 °C (86 °F) at night.
Between September and November average high temperature goes down from 39 °C (102 °F) to 29 °C (84 °F) and lows are reducing from 28 °C (82 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F). Winter is much cooler comparing to summer with 22-24 °C (71-75 °F) of average highs and 13-16 °C (55-61 °F) of lows. Days are sunny throughout a year.

Al Wakrah

Al Wakrah is situated not far from the capital of Qatar. It is great for family vacation because coastal waters are shallow and thus safe for children. Water and sand are clean because they are located far enough from harbor for fishing vessels. Vast shady and groomed park in the middle of the city is the great place to take a break from swimming, sunbathing and other seaside activities.
Climate in Al Wakrah by Seasons
The city shares dry and hot climate of the rest of Qatar. There’s some 70 mm (2.7”) of annual precipitation that falls between November and May. June through October is completely dry. Average highs are growing from 27 °C (80 °F) to 38 °C (100 °F) through spring and lows are progressing from 17 °C (62 °F) to 25 °C (77 °F) through the season. Summer afternoons are as hot as 41-42 °C (106-107 °F) on average, but occasionally temperature rises to 45 °C (113 °F) or even higher. At night there is 29 °C (84 °F).
During autumn days gradually become cooler. Average high reduces from 39 °C (102 °F) in September to 30 °C (86 °F) in November. Nights become cooler too and by the ends of the season they have around 20 °C (68 °F) of average temperature. Winter is the coolest season with average highs roaming in range of 22-24 °C (71-75 °F) and lows between 13 °C (55 °F) and 15 °C (59 °F). Nights may be even cooler, but actual temperature never dropped below 7 °C (44 °F).

Mesaieed

The city is situated on south-eastern coast of Qatar. Through first half of 20th century there was nothing except couple of villages of native people, but discovering of huge oil deposits boosted development of the region. Nowadays Mesaieed or Umm Sa'id has major port for export of oil and quickly developing cultural and recreational sectors due to upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. The resort is popular among young tourists due to abundance of restaurants, clubs and other establishments of such kind. Desert neighborhood of the city is the great ground for extreme entertainment such as paragliding, dune riding etc.
Climate in Mesaieed by Seasons
Climate of Mesaieed is hot and dry, though it is bit cooler than is other regions of east coast of Qatar. There is as little precipitation as 60 mm (2.3”) per year. With onset of spring temperatures begin to grow. Daily range of temperatures of March is in range of 15-25 °C (59-77 °F) and in May it reaches range of 26-36 °C (79-97 °F). Through summer average high is 38 °C (100 °F) and average low is 26 °C (79 °F). Occasionally days are even hotter.
Through autumn months afternoons become cooler. Reduction of average high temperature follows from 37 °C (98 °F) in September to 27 °C (80 °F) in November. Typically for arid desert climate difference between highs and lows is significant, so nighttime averages are dropping from 24 °C (75 °F) to 17 °C (62 °F) through the season. December and January are even cooler with daily range of 11-20 °C (52-68 °F) and in February temperature starts its annual growth at range of 12-22 °C (53-71 °F).

Al Ruwais

The city is situated in some 110 km (68 mi.) from the capital on northern side of the peninsula. Al Ruwais is for those who prefer vacations in quiet places away from tourist turmoil, heavy traffic and stuff of such kind. It is surrounded by dunes and popular among divers. Archaeological museum with remnants of the old city and ruins of old fort is another significant attraction.

Typically for Qatar Al Ruwais has hot and dry desert climate. Most of 62 mm (2.4”) of annual precipitation falls through November, December and January. The rest of year is either completely dry or has neglectable amount of rain (less than 5 mm or 0.2” per month). Through spring and summer range of daily temperatures (nights-days) grows from 17-31 °C (62-88 °F) in March to 32-48 °C (89-118 °F) in June and August. May, June and July are the driest months in terms of relative air humidity.
Seasonal drop of averages follows from 28-43 °C (82-109 °F) in September to 13-24 °C (55-75 °F) in January. In February temperature starts to grow back towards averages of March and beyond.
