Bangalore (official name Bengaluru) is the major city in southern India. It is situated in southern part of the Karnataka state. Also it is the third most populated locality and one of the most educated cities in India. Bangalore lies on the Deccan Plateau at elevation of 920 m above sea level.
Global position and elevation are resulting comfortable climate. Temperature rarely goes below 15 °C (59 °F) or rises above 34 °C (93 °F). Of course there is rainy season, but it isn’t as sultry as in majority of other cities in India. Bangalore is one of the most comfortable and foreigner friendly cities due to significant amount of international companies. Amount of precipitation depends on seasonal monsoon winds. Most of annual rainfall falls between August and October.

Spring in Bangalore
First half of spring is the most comfortable time in terms of weather conditions even despite annual peak of temperature. March and Aril are warm and relatively dry months. At afternoons air usually warms up to 34 °C (93 °F) and cools down to 19-21 °C (66-70 °F) at night.
May is the first rainy month. Precipitation is moderate, but temperature drops by bit comparing to April. Further progression of rainy season brings reduction of daytime temperatures while nighttime averages remain same. Anyway rains in Bangalore are fast, so they are definitely not a concern, at least in May. Traffic jams are bigger problem of Bangalore than any features of weather.

Summer in Bangalore
Due to frequent showers summer in Bangalore begins with slight drop of temperature. At first daily ranges shifts to 20-28 °C (68-82 °F) in June and then drops to 19-26 °C (66-79 °F) in July. Such temperature usually remains until late October.
Monthly amount of precipitation in June and July equals amount of May. In late August rainfall intensifies due to approach of monsoons, but its amount is still pretty moderate. In general summer is suitable for visit to Bangalore. Fast showers are even adding some charm to summers in this noisy city.

Autumn in Bangalore
September and October is the peak of rainy season when monthly amount of precipitation reaches 150 mm (6”). It rains a lot almost on daily basis. It is cloudy too. Though, there are no boring drizzles of temperate climate and showers last only for couple of hours per day. Naturally frequent showers cause high relative air humidity, but temperature is moderate so air is fresh (meaning there’s no stuffiness).
In November monsoons retreat, but temperature become slightly lower. Daily range in last month of autumn is between 17 °C (62 °F) and 25 °C (77 °F). Mild temperature combined with lower amount of precipitation form conditions close to perfect for tour to Bangalore.

Winter in Bangalore begins from drop of nighttime temperature to 15-16 °C (59-61 °F). Mentioned temperature at night is true for whole season. Afternoons of December are usually as warm as they were in November. With progression of the season days become even warmer. In February afternoons are as warm as 29 °C (84 °F). In terms of precipitation winter is the driest season of a year. In general winter is the best season for those who are fond of dry and cool weather.
