Seasons in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The climate of Bosnia and Herzegovina is moderately continental and characterized by a mildly warm summer and mildly cool winter, while the warmest part of the country is the south-western, where the climate is more like a subtropical Mediterranean.

But, the climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina is heterogeneous, first of all, it is connected with the mountainous terrain, which leads to the formation of many microclimatic zones. Very often the parts of the same mountain valley can have absolutely different weather conditions throughout the year, which is due to the peculiarities of topography. Also, one of the characteristics of the climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the very rapid weather change throughout the day.
