Seasons in South Carolina

Sometimes you can hear that there is no winter in South Carolina. Spring starts very early, and in autumn, warm days can last until October.

The state has a humid subtropical climate. In the southeast, the coast of the state is washed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Tropical storms and hurricanes can come from this side. In the north of the state, there is the Blue Ridge, a place with the most snow and cold in winter. The mild and warm climate makes South Carolina an excellent choice for vacation and travel.

Spring in South Carolina

Spring in South Carolina is reported by the blooming of the white dogwood in Oconee Bells and other national parks. In March it is already warm, around 56-70 °F (+13 +21 °C). The time from March to the end of May is considered the best tourist season. At this time, there is little rain and a lot of sun, but not too hot. In April, there is a high probability of tornadoes.

Spring water in the Gulf of Mexico is still too cold for swimming. This is a great time for a sea cruise. It's already warm, but there are still no crowds of tourists and prices are quite low. National parks are ready to provide tourists with a camping site. The spring bloom of nature is a great backdrop for walking.
