March-May in the Dominican Republic
Spring – is fabulous period with soft and sunny weather. Caribbean winds go to the North and take away with them heavy rainy clouds. The sea is quite and very peaceful. Temperature doesn’t increase above +32 °C (90 °F). Shining sun, which is at this period very comfortable for sunbathes, could be seen all day long.

June-August in the Dominican Republic
Summer here begins generally in May and lasts until October. It’s the hottest part of a year. Temperature in these days increase to its maximum +30 °C (86°F) +35 °C (95°F). At nightfall, the air temperature drops to +22 °C (71-72°F). But since humidity in this season is quite high it’s harder to bear these temperatures.
The May in the Republic is the hottest month of the year. Although the sun is shining brightly you shouldn’t be surprised by unexpected downpour. Usually downpour comes with short-term storms. If you planning summer holidays in the Republic period from beginning of June until the end of July will be the best decision.
Temperature of coastal water in June increases to +29 °C (84-85°F) and it is the right time for swimmers and divers. The only snag is heavy rainfall, but it won’t be a big problem, because mostly the weather in June-July changes at nights and will not disturb your enjoying of the summer holidays in Dominican Republic.

December-February in the Dominican Republic
Winter is the most comfortable period in Dominican Republic for swimming and enjoying sunbath. The temperature of coastal water is about +29 °C (84-85°F) and sun is bright all the time all day long. Soft weather stand from November till April.
These are the driest period of the year. The amount of precipitation does not exceed 270 mm. In general, the weather in the Dominican Republic during this period is the most stable. Level of humidity is quite low all this period. Thin layer of snow can be noticed in mountains areas. The most important thing about Dominican’s weather is lack of the winds and heavy rains which makes winter the best period for enjoying Caribbean beaches.
