Seasons in Byelorussia

Belarus is still developing as an attractive tourist destination, but for many it remains an undiscovered country that has retained its special secret after the fall of the Communist system. Everything there gives off echoes of the USSR, therefore in the country in the first place come those who are nostalgic for the Soviet era. However, Belarus does not live only in the past. It attracts lovers of untouched nature, "natural", infinite possibilities for eco-tourism, is a powerful recreation potential, serious excursion programs and interesting culture. Annually the country is visited by around 4.5 million foreigners, 30% of the total incoming flow amount to the Russians. The tourist season lasts all year round: summer – March to national parks and museums, and in the winter vacation at ski resorts.

Due to the fact that a large part of the territory of Belarus has a flat landscape, it formed moderately continental type of climate, or to be more precise – the transition from Maritime to continental. A strong influence of air masses from the Atlantic predetermined high level of humidity and almost uniform distribution of rainfall throughout the whole year. Spring in Byelorussia

Spring comes into its own rather late, snow in the country stays until April.

Summer in Byelorussia

Summer in Belarus is ideal for those who can't stand the heat and blazing sun. In the afternoon there is a moderately warm and moderately Sunny. Autumn in Byelorussia

In the first two weeks of September, you can go to Belarus without fear to spend your entire vacation at the hotel. Precipitation still frequent, but during the day the thermometer rises to +18 degrees. But in the second half of the month the weather is already implicitly obeys the rhythms of nature, a cycle which cannot be stopped. Winter in Byelorussia

In General, winters in Belarus are quite soft and mild, but this characterization may be better suited for the southern and South-Western areas of the country, where the air temperature in the coldest month, January, ranges from -6 to +2 degrees. In the capital Minsk, located in the center of the country on the South-Eastern slope of the eponymous hill, the average is already a bit lower from -7 degrees to -4 degrees.
